Auto-confirm vs. manual approval
Choose whether online bookings confirm instantly or wait for your approval.
When a customer books online, one of two things happens — and you decide which.
The two modes
- Auto-confirm — the booking is confirmed the moment it's made. The customer gets an instant confirmation, and it goes straight onto your calendar. Least friction, most bookings.
- Manual approval — the booking arrives as pending and waits for you to confirm or decline it in Bookings. Most control.
You set this under Settings → Booking & hours.
When to use each
Auto-confirm if your hours are accurate and you're happy to take any booking that fits. Manual approval if you want to eyeball each request first.
- Busy salon, standard services → auto-confirm keeps the calendar filling itself.
- Specialist or high-value jobs → manual approval lets you confirm you can do the work before committing.
- New customers only → many owners auto-confirm regulars mentally but keep manual approval on while they build trust with a new clientele.
